An independent zombie comedy short film shooting in Cumbernauld, Scotland.

Casting is now open for LEVEL DEAD, an original short film set and filmed in Cumbernauld Town Centre.

The film follows a group of strangers who find themselves trapped in the town centre when a very ordinary day takes a distinctly undead turn. Think zombie chaos, Scottish humour, unlikely alliances and a town centre that was already slightly eerie before the zombies arrived.

The finished film is intended for film festival submission and the festival circuit, with cast receiving footage for their showreels.

FILMING

This is an independent, self-funded production, so unfortunately we cannot offer paid roles. Please only apply if you are happy to take part on this basis.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are currently casting several main and supporting roles, as well as zombie extras.

Claire and Mick have already been cast.

We are particularly keen to hear from performers interested in the remaining principal roles, including Moira, Dylan and Ryan, as well as performers of a range of ages to join our zombie cast.

We are also looking for a young performer, approximately 8-9 years old, to play our Zombie Girl. This is a featured performance role requiring strong acting, movement and the confidence to perform for camera.

We are also casting Davie, a featured zombie role requiring a confident actor who can handle both character work and physical zombie performance.

No previous screen experience is required for zombie extras.
